A recently renovated 2 bedroom 105 sq m apartment on the KNSM-Laan in Amsterdam’s up-market Eastern Docklands area.
Located close to the city centre, this is a fantastic apartment on the end of KNSM-Eiland overlooking the water! Up until this year, it was a family home and would suit either individuals, a couple or a small family.
Both bedrooms and the main living area have a stunning outlook over the IJ canal and you can watch the sun going down over the water each evening. The apartment has a south-facing covered balcony allowing you to enjoy the sun whilst remaining out of the rain or wind for those Dutch days! In the second bedroom, there is now a queen sized double bed and side table (not shown in pictures)
In January 2021 the kitchen was completely replaced and renovated. Beautifully finished with all-granite work surfaces, the appliances and units were replaced to an extremely high standard. This includes a 6-hot burner stove with a wide gas oven, refrigerator, freezer (separate), a microwave combi oven and boiling water tap. On top of this, the property was fully repainted in November 2021.
Parking is also not a problem, with a garaged underground parking space included in the rental that can accommodate cars up to the size of a large SUV.
Staying connected is easy, with cable TV and WiFi included. There is a desk provided allowing you to work productively.
The area is fantastic for families, with both daycare and schools within 5 minutes of the property. On top of this on the road is a playground and asphalt soccer pitch. In summer, swimming is popular in a swimming area in the IJ canal.
The apartment is also close to 3 “gezellig” (cozy) Dutch cafes (the best being Kanis & Meiland and Café de Zuid). A short 5-10 min walk brings you to the shopping area of “Brazilie winkelcentrum”, comprising of a Jumbo and Albert Heijn plus a number of other shops.
Close to the highway, it is only 5 minutes by car from The A10 ring-road. If public transport is more your style, it is served by two bus routes (43 and 65), providing direct transport to Amsterdam Centraal Station, Tram route 7 and the ferry to Amsterdam Noord.
