Charming 42m2 ground floor apartment with north-west facing garden.
Enter front door via shared hallway. The water closet is just off the entry hall which is appointed with coat rack and (shoe) storage. Kitchen is straight ahead – dishwasher, Nespresso machine, gas stove and fridge with freezer compartment are here. Drawers and cabinets store cooking accessories, cutlery, glassware, and dishes.
Opposite the kitchen is a laundry closet with washing machine and kitchen pantry/accessory area: toaster & kettle included. The 4-person dining area is between the kitchen and living room located at the street side of the apartment. Shelving above the kitchen table is the perfect place for spices, tea or mementos of the city.
In the living room, the three seater couch is convertible to comfortable two person bed. The sun shines on this side of the apartment in the morning until around noon.
Pass through the kitchen towards bedroom through glass door. The bed is on the right (160x200cm, Matt* Brand mattress). There are floor to ceiling closets on the left with lighting that offer diverse hanging and folded storage of laundry/personal items as well as the vacuum. Privacy is provided in the bedroom by flowing white linen curtains, which means breakfast in bed with the doors open in summer. Black out curtains provide a nice long lie in at the weekend.
Continue straight on past the vanity and additional storage area to the bathroom: shower and full sink in wet room with window to garden.
Veer to the left and take the French doors from the bedroom to the garden, where you can sit in the sun during the afternoon. The garden has a wood deck with seating and is mostly stone so it is very low maintenance but you can make it as blooming as you like – there are plenty of plant pots and soil are ready for use. Perennials return in spring to add some green regardless. The courtyard gardens are all privately owned and not accessible from outside the building complex.
Grocery, pharmacy, liquor store all within a stone’s throw, an Albert Heijn is just around the corner. The croissants from the bakery down the street are outstanding. Go for a run in the beautiful year round Westerpark, have drinks on a terrace on the square, dine at one of the many restaurants in the neighbourhood. Near the centre, the location is ideal: accessible, but still quiet enough to enjoy your time off.
